Ghost in the Shell is an adaptation of the popular Japanese Manga and anime movie series of the same name. The movie, which caused a bit of a casting controversy earlier in the year when the first images of Scarlett Johansson arrived, is coming from Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks. Longtime fans of the series will certainly be intrigued by these first look images. While others may feel a bit perplexed.

Scarlett Johansson is joined in the ensemble cast also includes Beat Takeshi Kitano as Daisuke Aramaki, Juliette Binoche as Dr. Ouelet, Michael Pitt as Kuze, Pilou Asbæk as Batou, and Kaori Momoi. The members of Section 9 are played by Chin Han, Danusia Samal, Lasarus Ratuere, Yutaka Izumihara and Tuwanda Manyimo.

Avi Arad (The Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2, Iron Man) is producing this live-action take on Ghost in the Shell alongside Ari Arad (Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance), and Steven Paul (Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance).
