The developer behind PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has reportedly banned 13 million player accounts since the middle of last year.
That’s at least according to numbers collected from weekly reports given by Bluehole and the Korean PUBG Cafe. While things start off pretty slowly, by week 42 over one million accounts were slapped with the ban hammer. Blimey.
Cheating has obviously been a big problem for the chicken dinner-giving battle royale game, so much so that PUBG Corp. is still introducing new measuresto clamp down on unscrupulous players in its latest title update.
You can see a chart detailing the banned accounts below, courtesy of Redditor ‘sjk045.’
The figures are representative of banned accounts and not individuals, and do not include temporary bans. There is the possibility that some of these are repeat offenders, though.
